Xflowpay MCP — User Guide

Note: This feature is currently in testing and may change as improvements and updates are introduced.

The Xflowpay MCP app brings live USD → INR foreign exchange tools directly into AI platforms like ChatGPT and Claude. Get real-time exchange rates, convert currency amounts, and access AI-generated short-term FX outlooks — all without leaving your AI chat interface.

No account, login, or API key is required.

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way for AI apps like ChatGPT and Claude to connect with external tools and APIs. It allows AI assistants to fetch live data, run actions, and interact with applications securely.

What is the MCP UI?

When the Xflowpay MCP app is invoked, it can render interactive widgets directly inside your AI chat. These are not plain text responses — they are visual, interactive components that display exchange rate data and FX forecasts in a structured, easy-to-read format. The widget appears inline in the chat conversation.

What Does the Xflowpay MCP App Do?

The Xflowpay MCP app is a read-only foreign exchange tool for the USD → INR currency pair. It connects your AI assistant to Xflowpay's live FX data and AI-powered insights, allowing you to:

  • Check the live USD → INR mid-market rate
  • Convert a USD amount to INR at the current rate
  • View an AI-generated 3-day outlook for USD/INR
  • Open an interactive in-chat calculator or forecast widget

All of this happens within your existing AI conversation. The app does not move money, access any account, or collect personal information.

What This App Does

USD → INR Live Rate

Retrieve the live USD → INR mid-market exchange rate from Xflowpay, along with XE reference rates and derived indicative bank rates. You can ask for the current rate at any time and the app will return the latest available data.

Currency Conversion Calculator

Convert any USD amount to INR at the live mid-market rate. Simply tell the AI how much you want to convert and it will do the calculation using real-time data from Xflowpay.

AI FX Insights — 3-Day Outlook

Get Xflowpay's AI-generated short-term outlook for the USD → INR pair, which includes:

  • Expected exchange rate range (low and high)
  • Predicted target high for the period
  • A short-term 3-day market outlook summary

It is not financial advice, investment advice, or any form of regulated financial communication. Always verify rates independently before making financial decisions.

Interactive In-Chat Widgets

The app renders rich interactive widgets directly inside your AI chat for:

  • Currency conversion
  • FX forecast visualisation

No additional apps, browser extensions, or setup steps are required.

Supported Currency Pair

Currently, the app supports only the USD → INR currency pair. Other currency pairs are not supported at this time.

How to Connect

In ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Navigate to Apps
  4. Search for "Xflow"
  5. Select the Xflow MCP app
  6. Click Enable or Connect

In Claude

  1. Open Claude
  2. Go to Customize
  3. Navigate to the Connectors directory
  4. Search for "Xflow"
  5. Click Enable

No manual configuration, API key, or login is required for either platform.

Example Prompts

Once the app is enabled, you can ask questions like:

Live exchange rate

"What's the USD to INR rate right now?"

Convert an amount

"Convert $500 to INR at the live rate."

Short-term forecast

"What's the USD/INR outlook for the next 3 days?"

Open the calculator widget

"Open the USD INR calculator."

What the App Cannot Do

The Xflowpay MCP app is strictly read-only. It cannot:

  • Move money or initiate any payment or remittance
  • Access your Xflowpay account or any financial account
  • Modify account settings, preferences, or configurations
  • Collect your personal or payment information

Privacy at a Glance

The app is designed with privacy in mind:

  • No login required — the app works without any Xflowpay account
  • No personal data collected — your name, email, payment details, or contact information are never collected
  • No conversation data stored — your chat messages and prompts are not stored on Xflowpay's servers
  • No data sharing — your inputs are not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties
  • Transient processing only — any optional inputs you provide (such as a conversion amount) are used solely to retrieve FX data.

Troubleshooting

Widget is blank or not updating

  • Start a new chat and try the prompt again
  • Disable and re-enable the app in your AI platform's settings

Unsupported currency pair error

  • Only USD → INR is supported. Make sure your request specifies USD as the source currency and INR as the destination

App is not showing up

  • Search for "Xflow" (not "Xflowpay") in your platform's app directory
  • Ensure your AI platform supports MCP apps — currently ChatGPT and Claude are supported
